We are completely
web-based and rarely make public appearances with the gowns featured on our
website...
We are invited under special invitation. We bring with us approximately 400 gowns specifically selected for public viewing and purchase at the events. Many eras are featured, sizes range from 0-12 and event priced $50 -$599. Our booth staff, dubbed "The Tiara Team" cheerfully answer questions and offer history on bridal fashions. We have examples of what the gowns look like prior to restoration, along with museum quality gowns. All gowns are available for immediate purchase and we offer a 25% discount during the shows. We hope that the brides will put the savings towards their photography, catering or flowers... with our compliments.
ABOVE: Brenda Chovanak, owner of Vintage Bridal.net makes last minute adjustments to the booth display at the bridal show in Seattle Washington.
The owner of Vintage Bridal.net, Mrs.
Brenda Chovanak, is available at all public appearances. During the
shows, she greets the attendees and vendors in a beaded gown... and a rhinestone
tiara.
Mrs. Chovanak enjoys chatting with the audience during fashion shows that feature the vintage wedding gowns she loves so much. Her presentation is lighthearted and the crowds enjoy her fun approach to history. The gowns featured are always a crowd pleaser and attendees often return to the booth to have a closer look. Most never considered an authentic vintage wedding gown and to find SO MANY antique gowns in one place is exciting! Our clientele consists mostly of antique shops or brides in the UK, so we find that public appearances are more like a trip to a museum exhibit for the brides in attendance. It's a great way to enhance your upcoming event -- with a retro twist. If you would like to have Vintage Bridal.net attend your next event, please contact us to make arrangements. We can feature 4 to 6 unique vintage wedding gowns for your fashion show. Our gowns complement any ladies' fund-raising function and we are flexible with any group or sponsor. We can easily display gowns in any 10'X10' space that can accommodate our 14 foot arch of our authentic vintage wedding gowns. To bring in 400 gowns (as pictured above), the space must be accessible to rolling racks and be 40'X20' or larger. Book your date early to assure availability. Please be prepared to arrange for models in your area. NOTE: models must be sized between a "street size" of sz 1 or sz 3 for better selection of gowns to choose from. *We are located in historic Snohomish Washington. Fees vary depending upon the distance traveled to cover our expenses. As of June 2005, Brenda Chovanak has been appointed the Western Washington contact for the Antique & Retro Gown Division of the Making Memories Breast Cancer Foundation. This charity grants last wishes to patients that are losing their battle with the disease through the sales of donated gowns. Mrs. Chovanak will be on tour with a collection of over 500 antique gowns across the country. The collection includes the following groupings: Dreamy chiffon gowns of the 1970's Summer of love - daisy and wildflower 1960's weddings Hollywood glamour 1940's satin gowns "Jackie-O" elegance from the 1960's era Fab Fifties formals Chantilly lace gowns from the 1950's Designer gowns of the 1960's Vogue gowns of the 1970's Opulent styles of the 1980's To inquire about the "Trunk Shows and Antique Gown Sales" for the Brides Against Breast Cancer fundraiser coming to YOUR town, please contact us: MakingMemories@VintageBridal.NET We are currently booking sale events and fashion shows for 2006.
